What does biomass mean?
Made from NEOPS® polystyrene from KNAUF INDUSTRIES® , the naphtha from oil refining has been replaced by a plant-based naphtha from the compression of plants: public and private pruning, agricultural rotations, clearing, dead leaves, grass cuttings taken to the recycling center.
The foam is also 100% recyclable through the Knauf Circular reprocessing network.

The polystyrene beads are agglomerated in a mold close to the final shape under high pressure, allowing excellent compressive strength, low water and resin absorption during lamination and an easier sanding finish compared to conventional polystyrene in blocks.

POSCA water-based paint marker for all types of surfaces. PC3M - 1.5mm fine conical tip POSCA markers can be used directly on the foam board or once the board is finished with a spray varnish. Odorless, alcohol-free, and solvent-free, and the tip is washable with water or replaceable. See the Posca Instructions and FAQ

MEKP (PMEK) traditional catalytic SPR polyester resin is specially formulated for surfboard manufacturing and repair. It offers excellent versatility for lamination and hot coating , with controlled curing time and a professional-quality finish.

Appreciated by shapers for its ease of application , good transparency and compatibility with polyurethane foams, SPR resin is ideal for both professional workshops and demanding DIY projects.

⚠️ Usage tips

Catalyze at a rate of 2% with a MEKP (PMEK) hardener . Mix well before application.
Work in a ventilated environment and wear personal protective equipment.

Biomass ça veut dire quoi ?
Fabriqués à partir de polystyrène NEOPS® de KNAUF INDUSTRIES®, le naphta issu du raffinage du pétrole a été remplacé par un naptha végétal issu de la compression des végétaux : élagages publics et privés, rotations agricoles, débroussaillages, feuilles mortes, tontes amenées en déchetterie.
La mousse est également 100% recyclable via le réseau de retraitement Knauf Circular. 

Les billes de polystyrène sont agglomérées dans un moule proche du shape final sous haute pression, permettant une excellente résistance à la compression, une faible absorption d'eau et de résine lors de la stratification et une finition facilitée au ponçage par rapport au polystyrène conventionnel en blocs.

Fiberglass SHAPERS 6oz - 80cm width

UV- catalyzed SPR polyester resin is specially designed for the manufacture and finishing of surfboards.
It polymerizes only under exposure to UV rays , offering total control over working time and increased productivity for shapers.

Ideal for lamination and hot coat , this resin guarantees excellent transparency, a glossy finish and easy sanding, while reducing losses related to setting time.

⚠️ Usage tips

Apply the resin away from UV light. Once the lamination is complete, expose the board to sunlight or under a UV lamp to trigger polymerization.
Use personal protective equipment and work in a ventilated area.
