PB 170 resin with DM 12 hardener produces foams of approximately 170 kg/m3 in free expansion. This system is white in color; however, it can be tinted with epoxy-compatible pigments.
PB 170 resin with DM 02 hardener produces foams of approximately 170 kg/m3 in free expansion. This system is white in color; however, it can be tinted with epoxy-compatible pigments.
The hardener only affects the curing speed and the pourable thickness at one time.
The mixtures evolve in two stages:
Rapid expansion of the casting
Slow curing of the mass
Performance:
Obtains low-density foams
No handling of hollow microspheres
Two-component systems
Adhesion to many substrates
Castable on prepregs and epoxy resins during polymerization (preliminary testing required)
Excellent density uniformity
Excellent water resistance
Applications:
Epoxy foam production
In-situ castable sandwich core materials
Buoyancy volume
Foam densification, honeycombs
Thermal insulation
Machinable blocks for models
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:
