What does biomass mean?
Made from NEOPS® polystyrene from KNAUF INDUSTRIES® , the naphtha from oil refining has been replaced by a plant-based naphtha from the compression of plants: public and private pruning, agricultural rotations, clearing, dead leaves, grass cuttings taken to the recycling center.
The foam is also 100% recyclable through the Knauf Circular reprocessing network.
The polystyrene beads are agglomerated in a mold close to the final shape under high pressure, allowing excellent compressive strength, low water and resin absorption during lamination and an easier sanding finish compared to conventional polystyrene in blocks.
