Designed with versatility in mind, its solid base provides stability while the overall template allows for a loose, dynamic feel that encourages fluid movement on the wave. The shape is perfect for surfers looking to bring more verticality into their turns, enabling smooth, powerful bottom turns and sharp, responsive cutbacks.
This fin is adaptable to a wide variety of board shapes, from 6-foot shortboards to mid-lengths in the 7-foot range, making it a great choice for riders seeking a fin that can handle both quick, aggressive maneuvers as well as smooth, drawn-out lines. Whether you're looking to tighten up your turns or loosen up your ride, this fin offers the perfect balance of stability and freedom for all types of waves and conditions.
“I try to create things that make people happy,” says Juan Díaz-Faes. With an unpretentious approach to art-making and a fun-loving visual language, this emerging Spanish artist conjures loveable characters from geometries, lines and bustling patterns. Since 2017, cities such as Miami, Austin, Guangzhou, Uruguay, Madrid or Santander, are home to large-scale wall murals by Juan Díaz-Faes. Díaz-Faes has held a solo show at Point Éphémére Centre in Paris, and Conde Duque in Madrid.
The collaboration between Juan Diaz Faes and Deflow brings you a unique design on one of our best longboard fins, the Cream 9,75".
From 1 to 10 ft, from an era where a take off was straight and followed by a bottom turn, then forward trim. In one fin we trust.
"Mundo y formas..
I wanted these fins to be a personal version of three iconic models I grew up with.
Like a folk song or jazz standard that eventually is being re written, or modified to become your own version of a song, I began to change the curves of these classic fins through the years, to evolve with my surfing and the type of waves I surf most of the time."

Our bestselling longboard fin. Inspired by the designs of George Greenough, the Cream in 9,75" model adds more performance and maneuverability than pivot fins. Stiff in the body, flex at the top, this fin will help you turn, but will let you go to the nose as easy as always. This fin has been made with love to enjoy classic longboarding.
Ciel glue is a french collage artist, currently based in Baleal, Portugal. His work is heavily influenced by his love for surfing and the ocean, which he first experienced at the age of 11. After spending 15 years working in graphic arts in paris, ciel glue moved to Portugal to connect more deeply with the surfing culture and the coastal environment. His art reflects this passion, using vintage magazines, books, and colored paper to create collages that blend a timeless, nostalgic feel with a playful energy.
This fin seamlessly blends modern longboard performance with the classic nose-riding style, featuring a pivot-style shape and contemporary lines. Drawing inspiration from traditional pivot fins but with a modern take on the rake, it delivers a responsive feel through turns while excelling as a nose-rider.
Self Surfboards is a surf brand with classic reminiscences, whose philosophy is based on creating a 100% handmade and artistic product to have something unique and personal as a result.
We love their designs and values, and this is why we bring you the Self x Deflow fin.
Designed as a suitable template for a wide range of surfers of varying sizes across boards from 9'0 upwards.
This fin has ample base to give a reliable feeling when nose-riding, while maintaining area towards the tip to keep things tight and increase drive through turns. We wanted to keep flex to a minimum on this, as too much flex in a fin this size can lead to the washing off of speed through turns.

Luc Rolland represents that lineage of shapers with an artistic streak: potter, jewelry designer, electric car designer…everything is used to express his creativity. With an unmistakable style and lines, Luc has attracted the attention of surfers who are looking not only for a board to catch waves but also for that aesthetic enjoyment that we undoubtedly find in his work.
We are grateful that our paths have crossed and that we can present the collaboration between Deflow and Luc Rolland.
“I designed this fin back in 1988 when I was making a large board, over 10′. A brutal, almost primitive design. A very steep front line, and a vertical back line. Offering speed as well as pivot. It works on a classic longboard, and also on glider shapes.” words by Luc Rolland.

The Tapered Rake Single Fin by Tyler Warren is a great choice for surfers who are looking to combine style, flow, and performance in a single fin. It's ideal for longboarding, especially if you’re into smooth, traditional lines but want the ability to handle a bit of modern surfing power. It’s all about balance—giving you stability, control, and that responsive feel for carving down the line.
"This fin was designed for a fun balance of pivot and rake, wide base leading into a tapered tip for fluid turns while still holding well on the nose. A great all around fin for most longboards. The smaller ones could be fun in a more eggy style board. This fin has a medium flex in the tip for some extra dive and snap back through turns." TW
